Utility bill payment for various services can be carried out on the terminal. These include School fees, electricity bills, telephone bills, water rates subscription fees, rent payment and several other options. Transactions are done by electronically transferring funds from the terminal user’ ‘Card’ and lodged in the (payee) payment receivers’ bank account, while the transaction is simultaneously confirmed at the utilities provider terminal. The utilities providers’ receipt is printed out from the ChamsAccess portal at the end of the transaction as evidence of payment. Receipt printouts carry payment identity generated by the system database towards the payment made.
